•
To create a new association of Fall River mill owners. The actions of this association will include but not be limited to
the following concerns:
•
Form professional bonds among the City’s mill owners based on common interests and purpose— the basis for
newfound prosperity consistent with what is unfolding for the City at this time.
• Share information on architectural retrofit and restoration; tax
credits, technology, strategy, financing, business planning —
how to work together to create an historic national asset in the mills of the City
• Establish the city’s mills as a national resource and business
magnet for high-tech, manufacturing and other kinds of (sustainable) start-ups, emerging and established companies, using the buildings as examples of renewable energy refits.
• Contribute to the tenor and pitch of City life by working
with City Hall to help create long term prosperity for the City based on the rich history of mills in Fall River and certain
importance to the future of the city
• Help
to contribute thought and practice ideas to the National Trust for Historic Preservation that will ultimately serve all mill
owners well in the rebuilding and restructuring of the City of Fall River and beyond
• Establish a website that will allow for such growth
and continuity, along with essential marketing tools, a newsletter, email, systematic meetings and related activities to foster
harmony, mutual interest and purpose over the long haul
• Leave a legacy of reconstruction and renewal among the
mills of the City that will be passed onto the next generation
